I think it is obvious to everyone in the United States, that our country did not exist as such in 1752 AD. They were British colonies and being part of the British Empire is why they changed their calendars at the same time. For the sake of brevity I over simplified this detail as my original text was way too long for publication. I hope no one is offended by this simplification. |
