Third Day in Accordance
with Scripture Raised Again
In the Nicene Creed we profess :
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
1
Corinthians 15:4
“ ... he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures”
But which Scriptures ? Where ?
The list below was compiled by Michael Spyridon who
shows the parallels in the Old Testament.
Some may ask where in the Scriptures this is written?
Well… all over the Old Testament.

1:12); and on the third day the Son of God vouchsafed eternal life to
the inhabitants of earth.

and saw the spot where he was to offer his Only Begotten Son Isaac (Gen

purified himself on the third day, and was made clean on the seventh day
