How to Start a Verbal Discussion on what it means to Go Directly to God

Sometimes a Protestant who holds fuzzy rationalization combined with a subconscious fear that such a rationalization is not true and valid is prevented from making a deeper examination of their assumptions.  To break through a closed mind consider the following questions:

How do you know that you can categorically reject Mary without serious examination of the Biblical arguments that I gave you for devotion to her ?

Because it is better to go directly to God than waste time on someone who is obviously inferior to Jesus in every way. 

So then, you are assuming that “going directly to God and focusing on Him” means to ignore Mary, right ? 

Of course, what else could that mean ?  -

Or if needed: Do you believe that we should Go Directly to God?

We should ignore the Saints. And Go Directly to God.

What can you do on your own in a most Perfect way by just using the whatever grace you already have ? ... etc
